Attractive but design flaws

The desk is attractive--nice to look at but it has flaws. First, there are a number of triangular divots on the writing surface as well as on side and front surfaces. Next, it is difficult to fit an 8 1/2 X 11 inch file into the file drawer. I have to wedge it in. The drawers are not long (15 1/2"). It would be nice if it had pull out writing leaves over each side drawer. Overall, it's a solid piece of furniture and attractive, but I wish the above defects could be fixed. The matching credenza has a very small cabinet for the printer. My small HP P1102w just barely fits in the space. Incredibly, the shelf just above the printer is fixed--not adjustable to fit a larger printer. Also, there's no way to thread a wire from the outside of the credenza through the wire-holes at the corners of the writing surface. I guess I have to drill some holes somewhere.
